The Regional Museum of Skåne

The Regional Museum of Skåne is the hub of cultural and natural heritage in the southernmost part of Sweden.We are a foundation that operates not only the main museum in Kristianstad but also a railway museum, a film museum and several open-air museums, as well as managing the Kristianstad art gallery. Our mission is to promote and preserve the local culture and history of Skåne, but also to raise current social issues in our exhibitions and programs. Inclusion, engagement and lifelong learning are key aspects in our operation as we believe that this is beneficial for the individual as well as the community.

Finnish Museums Association

Finnish Museums Association is the central organisation and information center for museums in Finland. It was established in 1923 and nowadays has more than 200 members who manage around 400 museums. The Finnish Museums Association incorporates all professionally run museums in the country. Finnish Museums Association’s main tasks include looking after museums´ interests, advancing museums´ activities and coordinate and act as a partner in national and international projects. The Association provides training for museum professionals, participates in development of legislation, museum work and gives also expert opinions.

Museum of Copenhagen

History and Art is part of the Copenhagen Culture and Leisure Administration in the Municipality of Copenhagen. History and Art is comprised of four institutions: The Museum of Copenhagen - disseminating the capital’s past, present and future. The Museum also hosts The Archaeological Workshop, which offers visitors possibilities for hands-on work with museum material - generating knowledge by connecting the past with the present; Copenhagen City Archives - collecting and preserving archival material; Nikolaj Kunsthal - exhibiting contemporary experimental Danish and international art; Thorvaldsens Museum - the Danish sculptor Bertel Thorvaldsen's museum - a unique classical building, which exhibits classical sculpture and hosts temporary exhibitions as well.

Hungarian Open Air Museum

The Hungarian Open Air Museum is a non-profit, permanent, national institution open for the public, working in the service of society and its development. It undertakes the research of folk architecture, interior furnishings and way of life, the collection of tangible and intangible relics in the Hungarian language territory, the safeguarding of this heritage, the versatile publication of the collections and providing access based on participation to this knowledge. With its research and collection work it takes part in the protection of Hungary’s varied (multi-ethnic and religious) cultural heritage and the social and cultural development of the settlements. With the help of its exhibitions, publications, digital content, museum education and recreation programmes, by the representation of material culture, way of life and traditions and by the mediation of theoretical knowledge and practical information adaptable in everyday life it helps a better understanding and usage of folk traditions and contributes to the popularization of the Hungarian national culture at a national and an international level, and the mediation of a sustainable lifestyle based on museum knowledge. The Hungarian Open Air Museum puts great emphasis on its role as a 'social museum', paying attention to programs which enhance the wellbeing of different visitor segments, which help the reintegration of peripheral social groups or which enhance the understanding between people and their history.

Think Tank Creative Museum

The Riga based think tank Creative Museum is a non-governmental organisation focusing on museums and cultural and creative economies. It serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas and challenging routine through critical thinking. Creative Museum is bringing innovation in museums through cross-sectoral collaboration and partnerships.

Radiona – Zagreb Makerspace (Association for Development of ‘do-it-yourself’ Culture) was  founded in 2011 in order to enhance the visibility of makers’ open source culture and self-sustainable production, as well as with an aim of connecting all possible fields of art, science and technology or the STEAM fields (Science / Technology / Engineering / Art / Mathematics). The objective here is to create new realities of networked and collaborative intermedia and new media practices in line with DIY (do-it-yourself) and DIWO (do-it-with-others) cultures. The makerspace is developing interdisciplinary and innovative projects with an emphasis on community building, participation, cohesion, knowledge transfer and co-creation. The lab is also active in the areas of creative and cultural industries in international and local context. Radiona.org focuses its activities on education, research processes, artistic projects, curatorial practices, residencies, international and domestic inter-sector collaborations, renewable self-sustainable systems, repair community activities, citizen science and social awareness related issues.

BAM! Strategie Culturali is a team of professionals that works alongside cultural institutions and projects to construct strategic paths, aiming to facilitate access and ensure cultural involvement for an increasingly broad and diverse audience. BAM! expertise helps organisations to develop the most effective strategies, focus on objectives, study feasibility and sustainability, monitor results and evaluate the impact of different actions. BAM! devises and coordinates participative projects in terms of management and communication structures, fostering information sharing and identity building as organisational tools. BAM! works with several topics related to museums: engaging communities and encouraging participation, making collections available for the public by digitalisation and building bridges between museums and the business world.
